Re: NASPA/Merck Grant 2007
I am pleased to announce the continuation of the NASPA/Merck State Pharmacy
Association Grant Program. We are grateful to Merck and Dave Miller,
Director of Pharmacy Affairs, for making this grant program possible once again. The
Grant Program is designed to allow state associations to undertake significant
projects of value to state associations and the profession of pharmacy which
otherwise might not be accomplished.
The total grant amount is $50,000. The maximum amount a state can receive
is $15,000 for a project proposal. Please note that the NASPA Executive
Committee may withhold a portion of the total grant for a “special grant
project” which would be announced later this year.
I will again be administering the activities for the Grant Program. I
will work closely with the NASPA Grant Review Committee to coordinate all Grant
Program activities and application queries.
The attached pages outline the instructions and guidelines for submitting
your application. Please note the “Proposal Structure” section
of the Program Guidelines. Also attached is a sample list of past projects
that were accepted. I hope they will inspire you to submit applications.
The
application deadline is Friday, February 2, 2007
.
The Grant Review Committee, the Executive Directors from last year’s
grant recipients: Mindy Rasmussen and Patricia Epple will review the applications
and select the recipients for the 2007 grants. The successful applicants
will be announced at the NASPA meeting in March 2007 in Atlanta, GA. Applications
must be emailed to
