NCPDP Partners with State Pharmacy Associations for Promotion of the HCIdea™ Prescriber Look-up

The National Council for Prescription Drug Programs (NCPDP) is offering state pharmacy associations the opportunity to promote NCPDP's Web-based HCIdea™ Prescriber Look-up (www.HCIdeaLookUp.org) to their members for heavily discounted fees.

Pharmacists must contact their state pharmacy association and verify participation. The state associations will certify the pharmacist is a member and then provide NCPDP with the necessary information for the pharmacist to enroll.  NCPDP will follow-up with these pharmacists to extend the discounted pricing.

Pharmacists may search for a prescriber in the HCIdea™ database simply by entering a valid DEA number. In addition, pharmacists can perform a geographic search based upon name, city or state.  Pharmacy friendly search criteria save pharmacists time filling prescriptions and updating prescriber files.  This flexible search capability demonstrates how the HCIdea™ Prescriber Look-up (www.HCIdeaLookUp.org) is easier to navigate compared to other NPI lookup tools.

In addition to NPIs, the prescriber records show multiple addresses and phone/fax information, DEA status, information on licensing and prescriber specialties.
